Who the heck is Amathus Sky?

Whats in a name? Well if your name is Amathus then you know that back in the day Amathus was ancient royal city in Cyprus. In fact it was one of the richest cities back then , housed a lot of greek myths, and a lot of greek strong people. Anyways to me, because its my name, represents something more than a rich royal greek city. Amathus represents my creativity and the strong black women thats writing today. I am a poet and a beginning novel writer so the name represents my poetry and my writings... they are rich , strong, witty, and promising. Oh yea, and the "Sky" part, I really like clouds, rainbows, stars, and all that pretty stuff God has created for us that sometimes we overlook. So the sky represents all those things for me along with my freedom.My freedom to write whatever my heart so desires. Hence the name, Amathus Sky. I have come into this knowing no one will be reading my blogs right off the back but hopefully some of you will catch on a make this blog a hit! LOL

**How you can tell a female has low self esteem**

Ok so how can you tell a female has low self esteem? Take for an example a little situation that occurred inside of the Harold's Chicken on Sibley Blvd tonight. So my bezo ( cousin Britney) , my little brother( Cody), and myself ( Amathus) were waiting for our chicken wing dinners when a guy and a girl walked into the shack. First things first, the guys clothes. I peeped that his jeans were a little on the snug side ( I was told that was the new look for guys..I don't like baggy jeans...but I don't like "snug" either) and he had the nerves to have one of those airline captain shirts on, ( You know the ones with the little badge and stripes...you know you don't own no dayum plane!) and a hat that had a watch attached to it. In other words his outfit was wacked out. But anyways this is far from the point. The real point is, how you can tell a girl has low self- esteem. Well let me give you a list:

#1When her and her man walk into the room holding hands but he is looking at you from the
jump.

#2When her man orders his food then goes to sit down next to the girl he was eyeing and leaves his girl to order with no money in hand.

#3 When the girl asks " you paying for this" and her man replies "man, go get the money out the car". And she says, " But I don't know where its at in the car" ,and he says " Find it", she walks swiftly out the door but he keeps his eyes on you for the whole time.

#4 When the guy proceedes to talk to the girls he is now sitting next to.


Ok here is some more info. on the story. So the guy proceedes to sit his cute self down next to my Cuz and me and "politely" asks her ( my bezo), " Are you her Mother?"
I thought my bezo was going to jump out of her skin and kick his A** all around that chicken shack. But she tactfully said " No dude, Can you see straight do I really look like her Mom, we are only 3 yrs apart!!" He ignores her, cause the only thing he hears is "NO". He immediately looks at me and asks if I am 20 yrs old yet. I replied "yes, I'm 22". He says" You look like you are about 16 or 17. Needless to say I get that a lot! Next he asks my Bezo Brit, " Do you like this ring?" Showing her the ring on his wedding ring finger, she replies " Its alright". Next he shows it to me and I say, "Yea its decent". Now I forgot to mention this people...his girl was back in the shack by now but she was sitting at the other end of the store. Guess she was mad he was talking to us. More reasons:

#5 I ask is that supposed to be a wedding ring? I guess that is the only thing his girl heard cause she opened her mouth and actually said something...."Did she just ask if that was a wedding ring?"

Due to her remark....I guess it was and I guess they were married...I'm still a little unsure about that though.

#6. Her guy doesn't even open his mouth to answer her, just opens his mouth to laugh like someone actually said a joke that was funny.

#7 My bezo, my brother, nor I, even look at the girl when she asks the above question.

#8 My bezo responds to him by saying, "It looks like a wedding ring because its on your wedding finger. So is it?" He says "Yea", and looks at the girl and looks at us and rolls his eyes..." 8 yrs".

#8 My bezo says ,"8 yrs you look young though." He replies, "Yea I'm real young."

At that, I kept right on watching America's Next Top Model in the top left corner of the store and my bezo tells him "ok" and keeps talking to me and my brother.

Now you can tell right? He was disrespecting her and just a flat out mean person. And if he was a jerk inside of the chicken shack you know he is a jerk at home....how WOULD a girl with high self esteem stand for that. If that was me, seriously, he would of been naked and beat up on the side of a road on a street no one can pronounce.>:)
